2003 vs 2004 Head Unit

I want to verify before selling my 2004 MM OEM head unit to a 2003 MM owner if the two head units are interchangeable. I'm assuming they are since I can't imagine Mercury would have made two different head units, but I wanted to verify. If I sold this to him he should be able to just take out his old unit and slide in my 2004 unit right? Thanks Guys (and Gals)!

i know 2003 300b's and 2004's had the clock in the radio but i don't know the answer to your question......

They are interchangeable, as far as the clock goes it's in the wiring harness. If you plug the radio in a 300A car the clock will not illuminate. If you plug the radio in a 300B car o'clock will illuminate.
