GM 12 bolt FMC 8.8 interchange

Does anyone recall the article in Hot Rod Magazine a year or two ago about using GM 12 bolt parts in the Ford 8.8. Apparently they are quite similar. If I posted this in the wrong place, I'm a FNG here, sorry. I take my old mags to the VA in Sioux Falls, so of course I can't find the article, might try that internet thingy in desperation.

Why would you want the hassle. 8.8 is pretty stout.

If I remember correctly, the GM parts make pretty stout into bullet proof. Was hoping someone had seen the article. Might have been Car Craft.... yeah, i know, chevy mags....

Will somebody please post the actual link to the 8.8 and GM 12 bolt parts interchange?

I was under the impression the only interchangable parts were with the bearings.
