I have just posted two "Photoshopped" images in the gallery of what a Marauder might look like with a Mustang GT hood scoop and a Shaker hood scoop. I know some of you have been scratching your heads wondering what it might look like.

I took digital pictures of the mustangs and marauder at about the same distance and angle, and then superimposed the scoops onto the marauder so the sizing should be very close to the real thing.

P.S. that is not my Marauder but the one I saw at the Chester County car show in Kimberton PA over Memorial Day weekend.
I never found the owner, be had blacked out all the chrome on the car including his wheels.
Mine still has it's chrome :)

I had the dual inserts from a 1987 T-Bird Turbo Couple professionally installed into my Taurus SHO hood.

When I get a Marauder....I'll be doing something with the hood.

For me, I wouldn't do anything for just show. It's just too much fun suprising those $80,000 Euro's and $50,000 Ricer's at the light, seeing the "OK, you suprised me back there at the last light but I'm ready for you now." look on their face at the next light and then, well, you other Marauder owners know the rest of the story. That's my kind of stealth technology.

If it had to do with a true cold air induction system for N/A engine, there's more pressure to be gotten from the grille area (especially down low and if you have an air dam) and almost as much, if not more, from the cowl area. That spot where the windshield rises from the hood has always been a good place to get some free boost.

I was thinking of more of the mustang cold air intake system and modifying it for the Marauder...My knowledge is spotty for the 90's in FMC. Describe it for me.

Or, to keep the stealth thing going, massage the curve of the hood at the cowl raising it an inch or so, maybe even lengthen it to hide the wipers. Somebody do one of those "pitcher-shop" thangs and show us whut we mite be seein'.

Banned :banned: a long, long time ago. Runs a crappy website (which I won't mention), and most recently was telling folks how HE and Lidio were building all these fast Marauders.....needless to say, someone confirmed with Lidio last week that the last one is certainly not true. I think he's one of those "mom's basement dwellers" that are so popular on Panther platform boards. :D

I like the GT scoop! I would want to make it functional, though.

FiveO that does look nice on your Taurus.
Did you make them functional so that the air runs into your air box?
Or are they closed off?

FiveO

Its open but not going to the airbox.

It just opens into the engine bay. It lets air in right over the intakes. I drove it this way all winter and there was very little to no extra moisture (rain, snow) going in. Its angled down toward the front of the hood so if it sits in the rain (very rarely) the water runs right off.

One of the few things the SHO suffers from is a lack of space under the hood...if there was any more I would have come up with something to push air into the airbox.

Thanks for the compliment.

She's still for sale...$8K, sitting in the garage...all cleaned up.
