I have a set of FOUR brand new Goodyear Eagle RS-A tires already mounted on Ford Police Interceptor steel wheels. This tire set was purchased, unused, from a PA dealer re-outfitting a 2005 Ford police car. The set includes 4 mounted tires, 4 hubcaps (as shown in picture), and a set of 20 lug nuts. Total price is $500.

I got them originally for my 2004 Mercury Marauder for use in the wintertime, but never wound up using them. They have been stored, covered in plastic, and away from sunlight. As you can see by the pictures, these tires, wheels, and caps are virtually new.

They are for local pick up only, and if you live near Phila., PA, I can possibly arrange to deliver them.

225-60-16 are way short in height for marauders, speedo would be off, and traction control effected. cant run same height on 04 without turning traction control off everytime . better for a CV than marauder

Hi 'Rauder...

I agree with you 100%. And yet many on here have done exactly this over the years - if they thought that they were saving their beloved chromed rims during the winter season. Salt is a you-know-what. For that matter, the idea for this tire change came right from this digest, which is why I bought the set almost 10 years ago. Our winters in this area turned out to be not so bad, so I never did the swap.

Otherwise, you're right on the money. The hardest part is remembering to hit the TC switch when starting. Or just use a post-it on the dash.

http://www.gdmjoe.com/icons/twocents.gif not hardly way short ... 0.4" (front), 2" (rear)
speedometer would only be off by 4%
traction control (as racorcey noted) easily addressed

I wouldn't put 10 year old rubber on my car, nor buy 225-60-16 for marauder use. dont care how cheap $ they are

Right you are again! Even though the tires are rated for 168 mph, I definitely wouldn't recommend going that fast.
