Is it possible to take the resonators out of the stock tips?
Has anyone done this?
If not is there a similar aftermarket tip without the resonator and maybe an inch bigger?
Thanks ;)

resonators can be removed, cut tip off, beat out resonator out towards end., re-weld back on. marauder tips 26" long. have not seen any aftermarket tips that long. Most are 18-22" long. Megs does not make replacements, they made previous runs of nonresonated ones 3.5 and 4 inch dia, but last pre-order sign up failed to get 25 commited buyers. prolly wont happen again as they $300 +from them.

Thanks for your help. Good to know. I got some Flowmaster Super 44s going on and if that's not loud enough the resonators will have to go.

"I want to make my marauder louder", says every new guy...... It sounds like a good idea until you want to bash your brains in because you cannot take the drone anymore.

From an old thread: Extend non res tips out the back an extra inch or inch and a quarter... To get the drone noise farther "out the back." You won't be sorry.

Also, if your energetic and patient enough you can use a 1/4 to 3/8 drill bit to put well placed holes around the perimeter flange of the resonator fore and aft to tune the sound to your liking. longest bit you can find and u won't have to remove the resonator. Trickest part is the section that connects to tail pipe.

I kept resonators and with flow master 44’s and headers I do not want more sound lol. Just food for thought

I cut my "resonators" out many years ago. The extra sound is so minimal it isn't worth it. Probably because of the fact that it is nothing more than 8" or so of tailpipe.. Seriously, they just slide the tip on that far then smash the crush donut that you see into place.
You want a great sound? Ditch the rear cats before doing anything, then swap mufflers to your liking.

I hear ya! I have Stainless Works long tubes and Flowmaster delta 50's and I cant stand the drone/rasp/crackle. I'm ditching the flowmasters in the spring for Borla ProXS flow-throughs. Must be the getting-old person in me. Id rather hear all supercharger wine.

Loud doesn’t always = drone. I had a rear car delete and Aero Turbine Muffler’s. It was rediculously loud outside of the car but inside amazingly quiet and drone free. Rest of the exhaust including tips were left stock.

Magnaflow insulated straight throughs. Nothing but thumbs up from the public. Do NOT get the XL Series. Way too loud and very unpleasant tone.

Thanks for the info....good to know. Are the resonators welded in there or can they be forcibly yanked out? Also, won't taking the rear cats off effect the emission inspection results?
Thanks again

Like I said, the tailpipe just keeps going into it farther than you think. So you can yank on it like a teenager, it isn't coming out..
Rear cats are not monitored, so no, it does absolutely nothing to jeopardize emissions, nor kick an engine code. Hundreds here have done this.
