My favorite part:
"The Marauder isn't about designer labels, Gucci-breath. This is a throwback, an unapologetically American sedan. Huge, muscular, a bit rough around the edges. As roomy and foursquare as an old brick house. A trunk the size of your backyard.
The way it should be!

If this car is built in Canada then why do most people refer to it as an American muscle car?
I guess for the same reason that a BMW Z4 roadster built in Greenvill/Spartenburg, SC is considered "German Engineering/Workmanship"...

Last time I checked, Canada still resided on the North American continent, so technically, our Mercury Marauders are built in North America and are therefore American.
Personally, I like our "neighbors to the North", they make great beer, have fun cities, good people, and lots of great fly-in fishing. They can keep making our Black Beauties there as long as it makes sense for Ford to do so!

There has always been a close relationship with the two countries, especially when it comes to automobiles. Ford opened shop in Canada in 1904.
The Marauder built in Canada is far more of an "American musclecar" than the upcoming "Pontiac" GTO, built in Australia. (nothing more than a slightly altered Holden Monaro)
