I would not buy anything that does not run . unless you know what you are getting into . maybe that's why its for sale . hiding a rod knock ?? just sayin .

Don’t buy a car that doesn’t run, there’s plenty out there that do.

Walk away! Don't waste your money. Find one that actually starts and runs.
Unless your getting a super deal on it.

Check the fuse, swap the relay, and also check the trip switch behind the carpet left side of trunk.

Walk away! Don't spend your money on a car that won't even start. Look for another. Or you can buy mine for $27,500.

Fall back 10 yards and punt.
Could be a bad fuel pump relay or the fuel shutoff in the trunk is tripped.
Easy things first, check the inertia switch in the trunk.

DId you check the fuel pump cut-off switch in the trunk, drivers side.

Not quite enough information.
What year?
What shape is it in?
How much are they asking?
How long since it ran?
How many miles?
If it is nice enough, offer cheap bucks and tow it home for a pump. Make sure the switch in the trunk is not tripped.

I would approach as if it needs an engine... because if it does it's expensive as hell to replace one. You have no idea how it runs or doesn't run...

I just bought a DTR from a guy who collects Marauders - at the time he had 5 of them in a warehouse.
I couldn't test drive mine until he had the fuel pump replaced. Something about Marauders sitting up long periods of time. This might be a Crown Vic problem too. Heck, it might be all cars for that matter.
Pretty common thing from my experience. I ended up waiting for the fuel pump work to be done, and so far no problems with my 'new' DTR.

Have it fixed before purchase or take off $750-$1000 to the price.

If I'm selling a Marauder and I don't bother to fix a bad fuel pump, fuse or whatever to make it start and move I'm hiding a very big problem....

did you check the fuel pump shut off in the trunk? Driver's side quarter panel.

Try banging on the fuel tank to see if the pump has a dead spot. Fuses, relays, obvious stuff. Is the security light on the top of the dash flashing rapidly during key on/crank? Should be solid if transponder key is good. You can always use starting fluid, not advisable but you'll hear it run.

I checked it out again and it’s no gas getting to the fuel rail what could it be

I don't know if it's harmful or not but I've Lit off motors with bad fuel pumps with starting fluid sprayed into the intake just to get the motor to run. You can give it a spray here and there to let it run long enough to make sure it's not knocking.( but you could still get burned this way) it really wouldn't tell you much more than that. If it's really a good deal your best bet is to bring a Power Probe for simple Diagnostics and a fuel pump and maybe agree on a price before hand if you get it running and it runs / Drives right. I did a fuel pump on my 1995 Crown Victoria and if it's a similar setup they are fast and easy to change. Hopefully any of this is helpful to you.
