So as some of you might know, i put my marauder up for sale. Dont want to, but life happens. My wife just went back to the states to start her RN program and then will eventually become a CRNA. I am selling my car to pay of debts and ship my dogs and her jeep home. She is going to good hands though. Dont want to post up who yet, i will let them say. But she is officially sold. Once the starter comes in and i get her running, she is gone. Will definitely get another one when i come back stateside and definitely be built the way i wanted to for this one. But i am going to get a truck first. Then marauder project. Thanks for everyone who has helped me along the way. Couldnt have done it without yall

Yea it sucks but have to do what is best for the family. Between paying out of pocket for 2 dogs and the jeep to go back, its alot. But the wife said once the credit cards and all are paid off i can get whatever i want. So gonna get a 2017 f250 next summer. Then get me another maruader once i am stateside. Wife agrees cuz she loved mine so much haha. Definitely will be making it to a meet up as soon as i come back.

Guess I might as well reveal myself... it's me who bought the car.
Tony put a load of work into it after initially saving it from the scrapper last year, the previous owner blew the engine after supercharging it but failed to do the cooling mod properly and then decided to go flying down the Autobahn at 120+. The car was offered to me with a blown engine last year but I didn't have the time to deal with another car project so I declined and it eventually ended up on a scrap yard where Tony found it and bought it immediately. He invested a lot of time and money into this car, shipped a replacement engine in from the States and got it all up and running again over the course of this year and I'm glad that he did because this car is in immaculate condition, has absolutely no rust and has never seen salt nor snow.
I have a lot of respect for the work and dedication that he put into it and I feel honored to be the next owner of this great ride. It's a real shame that he had to sell it but when he offered it to me I knew I had to make some arrangements to make this deal happing as we both didn't want it to go to someone who doesn't appreciate it for what it is. I've sold my own project car which to be honest wasn't really going anywhere to make room for it and now I can't wait to add that second Marauder to my stable.
I'm hoping to pick it up from Kaiserslautern at some point next month before the worst of winter kicks in and will then be putting it in storage until spring arrives before I can register it, definitely won't be driving it in winter.

Glad another member is taking over the car, sounds like you did a lot of work too bad you didn’t get to enjoy the fruits of your labor for long! you will be in a better position to build it the way you want next time :coolman:

MG Driver is the Euro-Marauderville guy I connected with three years ago. He will get the Marauder working to it's prime.
Good Luck Marvin with the car. I hope you can come stateside one of these days for Fords at Carlisle. First weekend in June. Put it on your calendar for future vacation spot.

The previous owner of that silver car , I think he was from Kansas

The previous owner is on here, his user name is 03knight. He's originally from Kansas but he bought the car in Maryland and shipped it straight to Germany. He's now living in Italy and is out of the Marauder game for good, having seen what he's done to this car I hope he doesn't get another one.

he cost me a lot of grief and legal on the trilogy on that car when I purchased it . I have not seen one post since that rotten deal . good luck with that car , I sent munster bro lots of stock parts to finish that one . happy to say that all worked out well on both cars .wish we had autobahn here LOL ,

Thanks guys! Will be picking the car up the week before Christmas so I guess that will be my present this year.
I've been following pretty much every step of the way with this car so I'm well aware of how much trouble both of you guys had with him. Glad it all worked out in the end so the Trilogy is running strong in yours I take it?
Well you know if it wasn't for the Autobahn he wouldn't have blown the motor in the first place, it's all fun and games until some douche comes along who doesn't know how to handle it.

yes sir , trilogy 246 with Marto tune is rite on . he said he peddled it at 170 mph. then popped it . believe what you want . that's pretty dam fast . what say you on that speed ?? I totally agree about the term DOUCHE .LOL .
MGDriver
11-28-2017, 01:44 PM
For a behemoth like the Marauder that is unbelievably fast, I've only had mine up to 120, maybe 130 at times but the most I'll do on a regular basis is 100 mph. All vehicles manufactured in Germany must be restricted to 155 mph by law unless they undergo a specialized safety inspection to make sure that all components are able to withstand higher speeds.
marauderrocks51
11-28-2017, 04:46 PM
well that figures , he lied about it all. from start to finish . about the speed , the parts and the complete deal . only good that came out of it was I got exactly what I paid for and he lost the balance . case closed . hope you really enjoy that car .
MGDriver

He probably did, I have yet to experience what a Trilogy is capable of, it's a very difficult and expensive process to legalize a Trilogy setup over here because our smog requirements are worse than California.

all I can say is its twice as much fun than stock !!

Maybe if they are doing another Marauderville next year I'll try to catch a flight over to the States to experience a Trilogy. Or maybe I shouldn't because that would probably make me want one even more.

Just brought the car home from Kaiserslautern, it drove amazing on the 5+ hour journey back to Paderborn and the Stainless Works exhaust system sounds awesome, I'll never get tired of that drone so I don't need a radio anymore.
Here's a few pictures I took on the way, my route was close to the world famous Nürburgring so I just had to exit the Autobahn for a little photo opportunity. The actual track was covered in snow so unfortunately I could only park in front of the main entrance and grand stand.

Thank you sir. Unforntunately, government wont pay to ship dogs as big as mine so needed to free up some money. But will be getting something new next june.... maybe my dream built marauder if MartyO is up for the task end of next summer. my dogs are costing me 3500€ to ship...
Yea i was at the junk yard one day and was glad i was. Just as i was about to leave she came in in the tow truck. The junk yard here is run by U.S. military and have stupid rules lol. Thankfully i know all the guys there. They had offers of like 1200 but they know me and gave it to me for 800. Put soooo much time and effort into her and really did not want to sell her. I even sold my 96 Impala SS i had to fix up the marauder. Impala needed more work so it was a no brainer. Not really worth saving at that point. I had never seen a marauder in person, only pictures online. Best car i have ever owned and definitely will be getting another. It was a huge headache getting her running and still needs a few things, but she is safe. But thanks to all of you for the help. Couldn't have done it without yall.

 I think that's more than a first-class airline ticket costs...holy cow...(err...I mean dog...)
I didn't realise your car was a junkyard-save... :bows: What all was wrong with it when you got it?
*EDIT* Nevermind...I re-read Marvin's post where he described what happened...

Yea it was a lot of little crap but the big thing was it needed a motor. Hard to find and harder to ship overseas....
