Hey fellas. Young car enthusiast this is my.. hmm...tenth vehicle. Third vehicle from the Ford group. So far very much enthused with my marauder. 160k on the engine so far. Bit of a noisy fella I think my timing chain guide will need to be replaced soon. Wanted to know if you guys had a lead on gettin the rubber trim piece that goes on the trunk that runs across from one taillight to the plate then to the other tail. Only cosmetic piece missing. Can't wait to get the 4.10s wish I wasn't ducked around by California emissions and could get long tubes blower and the whole bit hopefully I did the photo attach right. Anyways hello y'all

welcome, need a tune for the 4.10's or speedo will be off and shifting out of sync. The rubber trim piece is not a separate item it is part of the rear trunk panel. You would have to replace entire panel which are obsolete. Used ones pop up here and on ebay..depending condition, they run $200 -$300

^^^^^^This^^^^^^

You can also get a crown vic panel which is way cheaper and tint the reverse lights alittle to look like the marauders and of course change the emblem on it.

On my past cars I've had no tune when I change the rear end but this is the first car I've had with an automatic so I suppose that makes sense... isnt the shifting based off rpms though

I'm still working on the oxidation and paint chips once I have the car a bit more pristine I'll definitely be contacting you. My maurader was an Arizona car so it sat just a bunch too long in the open sun and cooked. Got most of it off and almost ready to put down the polish and grab the wax

I imagine by all those pretty stars on your header you've made a few contacts on this board. Who would I talk to about lowering springs

shifting is programmed in ecm, see member martyo at Mo's speed shop in the vendor section. there are no off the shelf lowering springs for theze cars. cut a coil or ridetech orr naake suspension fr coilovers, but they are pricey. rear adjust height sensor

Rear is air ride, easy as 2 8mm wrenches and 2 10mm
Free lowering kit

If you go with poverty springs, go with the gt500 springs

Previous owner put Monroe shocks in the back. I was comparing my rooftop height to a stock grandmarquis my neighbor has and I'm about 3 or 4 inches higher than his car. That being said I am rolling on 235/60r18 tires pirellis which are actually about 62 not 60 so between what seems like taller shocks and bigger tires my marauder almost looks lifted, not a fan

Yep, 235-60-18 are way wrong...what year car do you have? if you have traction control (2004) you need to a 3-6% tire size differential front to back..stock size front is 235-50-18, stock rear is 245-55-18..but that limits your tire rotating. rear height is adjustable with height sensor on the driver side watts link in front of axle. Did previous owner take out rear air sprngs? and put coils in?

The fatter tires reminds me of how my Cadillac handled bumps I plan on putting wider rims and narrower tires down the line and that is correct I do appreciate how stiff it rides with them but the stupid air suspension light is getting on my nerves haha.

Rims are often tricky to get for these cars due to their offset. Why would you put narrower tires on? Your tires now are narrow. You might want to run any wheel or tire size purchases past the forum so you don't buy something that won't fit or look bad.

Woops I meant slimmer as in like 40 on a 20 inch rim or 45 on a 19
