Does anybody know where I can buy the 2" stainless ball flare tube that connects the exhaust manifold to the first cat?
You would think it is out there somewhere, but I haven't found it yet. No, I can't cannibalize my stock cats/pipes as I may need them for a future smog test.

I had KOOKs weld ball & socket type ends onto my headers and cat piping before they shipped them to me. (way back when)
It made aligning the exhaust system much easier.
Might want to contact them and see what they can offer:
141 Advantage Place

I'm sure those weren't 2" ball flares, but it won't hurt to ask.

No...That's true, they were 2-1/2"...but they may be able to source 2" for you.

Local exhaust shops can make them for you if all you are looking for is a short piece to build off of, when me and Steve did his turbo car a local shop did the bell in stainless for us

They are formed on a press against a die I believe, so some shops could do it. I am told the radius of the ball (manifold) is not necessarily the same in every application.
That would be ideal, one less welded joint - form the flare into the first piece of U-bend.

Good link, and they even state they're willing to make stuff. So many of the places I contacted don't seem to have the required tooling.
