I am running on OEM
KDWS BFG'$ exclusively except for one turn.
( Learned my lesson with mismatched tires)
The new General's were dropped off yesterday.
I have spare OEM wheels , I thought of having
the best rear tire to save as a spare.
I may enlist the junk to tow a small camping Trailer.
I was thinking about 3000#'$ or close.
Do I have to carry 2 spares ?
I also have a Mustang spare wheel, look alike with a TPS sensor.
I have had feedback from my retail car customers that a tire failure caused a two tire change when Rear flat occurs.
Just trying to plan ahead.
I know a temp spare won't be wise , with a trailer weight tounge load.

And a 225 60 16 is taking the place of the stock
Model number and size.

Just use a rear tire on the full size spare. The opposite of what oem did.
This way if you blow a rear, your rear limited slip wont turn at odd ratio from different sized tires.
You can always run a rear up front on a 2003 without traction control, but if you run the rear on the front with traction control, then just shut if off.
I would throw away any oem tire, its 3x out of date.

That is what I planned was to save the best rear
Tires for a spare .
It k
Looks like the Rear size , will fit in it's location .
In the shelf !

3,000# trailer equals 300#s max at the hitch. (In a perfect world)
With only 300#s I would throw just one spare in the trunk, size optional, and I wouldn’t give it a second thought to hitting the road.
My only concern would be an adding an elect brake controller assuming the trailer has a braking axle. If not, keep your distance and it’ll stop. [emoji1303]

WOW, Whoa..... You don't need a spare tire;
Per Consumer Reports;
Nearly all car companies are eliminating spare tires from their models. Some upscale and performance cars are instead coming with run-flat tires—tires specially designed to operate for a limited distance after losing air from a typical puncture. But if you’re looking at something more mainstream, the chances are all you’re going to get is a small air compressor and sealant kit for minor punctures.

I will include a trailer brake controller when I get to that point.
They are not expensive and worthy !

Not a risk taker any longer.

A compressor and sealant will not work on a blow-out. Definitely need a spare.
