Remind me on Tuesday when I’m back at the shop so it’s at the top of my mind.

What makes you think you need to pull the trans? The how to one clearly states the motor doe snot need to be removed but they did it on an engine stand to show it better

I've got one of the oem rear coolant fittings that are used for a cooling mod. Just need to drill a hole in the mount to clock it differently. Pm me if interested.

the fittings that go into the head are readily available . rite , and thanks for all the info . I would prefer Zacks due to easier install . those would be fine if the engine was out . and , that's not the case here .

I also used these with success. I made a cot delete kit as well as a head cooling mod for the rear. Good to deal with too.

I installed the above kit with the engine and trans in the car..... not seeing the issue here..

Hey Zack, how do you get them out of a head once they are in? I am changing out my heads.

Dumb question here, but what do you do with the water outlet for the rear crossover, plumb it into the heater core? What happens to the outlet in the back of the water pump? Tee? Tee seems messy and not really necessary, but I could be missing an important detail. Like the heater won't warm up until the thermostat opens :)

It looks like the intake manifold has to come off thanks to the casting flash on the intake manifold over the passenger freeze plug. Should have thought of this before I installed the intake manifold.

Is the Cobra Engineering kit the best way to go? It isn't the cheapest, but it lets you use AN fittings to the heads so as not to revisit that awkward location. Obviously connecting to the heater core won't be AN fittings.

Edit: From Cobra Engineering: "This will not fit in the driver's side with the EGR tube. You have to either delete the EGR or modify it". Is this a Mustang reference, or does this thing really interfere with the EGR tube? Modifying the EGR tube sounds like a major hassle I would prefer to avoid.

If you supply the heater core from the cooling mod and return it to the back of the water pump, the thermostat is not involved and heater will work before thermostat opens.
In my setup-
Hot coolant leaves the top rear of driver’s head, through braided stainless hose underneath the intake and out the front to on3 thermostat housing. This takes the hottest coolant and sends it straight into the radiator to be cooled. This also acts as a bypass and no holes in the thermostat are needed.
Plumbing the cooling mod to back of the water pump will just send the hottest coolant back through the engine again instead of to the radiator to be cooled.

Hot coolant also leaves the rear(not the top) of pass head to supply heater core and then returns to back of water pump using stock return steel tube.

That’s probably the easiest way to do it although I know some guys that are good with a die grinder that can shave down the intake there

To be honest you might end up using several pieces from different companies to make your ultimate system. IMHO the on3 kit is the most customizable but every build is different. I think the key is to figure out your routing first, then figure out how to get there.
Mustang EGR is on driver’s side in the back near the cooling mod area and CE fittings attach to the rear of the head so I bet that is where it interferes.
I deleted EGR so was not a concern for me, also I use Mach1 intake not MM.

Can the On3 delete kit, with dual sensors, be used with a 3.4 Whipple, without clearance issues between the 90 degree fittings and the blower casing?

I believe they can, John aka CNGInterceptor is using them on his 3.4 Whipple. You might have to clock it a certain way to get a decent fit. Not sure what fuel rails or what your fuel line plumbing looks like though.

Seems like a lot of ppl use the GT500 setup with theirs I heard it works good, no firsthand experience though.
