View Full Version : Lower radiator hose from engine to thermostat hose

Changing oil today and found hose twice it normal size . Ford no longer makes them and the aftermarket ones are 1/4 inch too small . Anyone have a good oem lower hose from engine to thermostat ? It’s the short one about 7 inches long.

Take it to your local FLAPS and see if there is one similar or that can be cut out from a longer hose.

You can cut the section that’s bad off the tee fitting quite easily and replace it with a match up trimmed to fit like already mentioned. Just use a clamp when mating the new one to the tee. You could do all three and just reuse the tee if you really wanted.

That’s what I did for my radiator and coolant tank side when I replaced both of them with custom ones.

Found a hose that should work. Cut to fit. Thank u for the help.

Hose is a Gates 20687 for O’Reilly auto parts.

Yes, thanks, making note of that. Mine is looking a bit soft and slightly bloated.
