Anyone have an original brand tire available to sell. Blew out one of my rear tires. Would like to match up to remaining rear tire, which has less than 8000 miles and very good tread remaining. Year of manufacture needs to be no older than 2013 or 2014 as the local businesses will not install tires older than 6 years. Must be a fair price otherwise I'll look for a new set and use the remaining as a full size spare.
The tire is a BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDWS 245/55ZR18 103W - 40913 Mfg #40913.
Let me know what you have.
Thanks Steve

I ran into this date code problem when wanting to mount tires on my farm trailer; which is a dually and goes to the dump maybe once a year...3 miles away. I bought a harbor freight metal stamp kit. That, and a propane torch, and Tada...new tires.

Thanks, I have been looking all over the internet, but haven't seen any for sale. Didn't think about Craigslist.
Thanks again Steve

I may do that depending on what I find. Would probably be the best bet dealing with the date issue. Just trying to keep all four tires the same brand. Would also like to run the remaining tires as long as I can just for economical reasons.
I am looking for the tire sticky so I can start looking for other options.
Appreciate the reply.

Tires are almost like oil we all have opinions on them. To save some money I myself presently have different fronts on my car as my rears were fine, the fronts were shot. You can't tell the difference from 5 feet away.
Of all the tires I have had the the MM over 14 years the BFGs were the worst - wear easily, noisy and not nearly as good in rain or snow

Steven,
Yes here are many opinions on how long you can run a tire (age wise) even the manufacturers differ in opinions from 6 to 10 years. Of course storage can also affect the tires and how the oils dissipate. I also found out how well the OEM ones run in cold, wet, and snowy weather this past 3 Jan storm. If it wasn't for the traffic I would have had a little fun.
Will see what I can find, guess I am lucky that this car isn't a daily driver.

Guess I better check what the dates on my stash of new BFG tires are. I'm pretty sure I got the last run of rear BFGs from tire rack and last run of front BFGs from Simple Tire.
How much time I got left on these new rears? I see the numbers on it. Unfortunately, my current rears on the car still got a lot of tread.

I believe you can still get the BFG T/A in our rear size. Unfortunately the sidewalls are kind of soft since they don't have the speed rating of the KDWS. The ride is a bit softer and the handling not as good, but it keeps the same brand all around.
