Had to get the SB smogged yesterday, which means I dusted it off, washed all the windows, shined it, and after a long warm up, got to flog it a little on the highway!
At the smog shop, the dude first asked about the gauges near the lighter, "Did you add those AutoMeter gauges?", and then opened the hood and was immediately perplexed. He commented repeatedly about how pristine and clean my motor and underhood was.
I recalled that 2 summers ago I had replaced the underhood insulation... And how nice the new one looked vs the old one.
Thus in the semi consciousness of sleep/wake this AM, I saw it...
Upon opening my hood, an LED lighted Godshead logo built into the under hood insulation. Not too bright (I am sure it is adjustable). I could hear a choir sing an ethereal, "LAaaaaaaaaaaa" but doves didn't fly as it was too early in the mornings and the doves were still asleep.
I am sure it could be done, and the underhood light used as the power source.
It looked super cool!
