Just bought a 2003 Marauder from WI. Was looking for an original front bracket for the plate as they've been discontinued, so I can get a sticker. Or advice on one that's close like a crown vic or mercury marquis from that time.

Bought on on Ebay for a 99 -2010 crown vic.
Fits good for under $20.00.

Yes buy the crown vic one. An OEM MM bracket is quite expensive

Superdave,

I took a look on this site a while back on this same subject. The purists among us think that it is a sacrilege to ruin the front fascia by putting a license plate mount there, mainly due to the need for the four holes.

This is of course your decision.

I have the same problem you do here in Texas. The state mandates a front plate. I have a stock mount but it has a few scars and dings.

If you fall into the Purist category, there is an option. I am pasting the text from a message that I got from a company called STO and SHO. They offer an alternative plate bracket that bolts underneath to the front structure, and you can quick-disconnect to show your baby in un-molested condition. No holes in the front fascia, but rather underneath.

Cost is around $100 I think. A bit pricey but it is an alternative. The model for the MM is a SNS40; you can see what they say about it below.

Here it is:

Hi Keith-

Thank you for contacting us. You can order the SNS40 through the link below. Typically it takes 2-3 weeks to get them made, but we did a few extra last time, so have a few left on the shelf. It can ship out today and typically takes 2-3 days to get to you anywhere in the US.
