Anyone know why a brand new Marauder Bezel would have a "3" instead of a "2" on the gear selector....see photos??:confused:

Maybe just to discourage starting in 2nd gear or manually shifting maybe??:cool:

I take that gear select piece in chrome off the Continental and they read out just like yours. 3 then 1. Instead of like the marauder reads 2 then 1

Actually I currently have a 3 then 1 chrome surround in my DTR.

My guess is it's a defect with the wrong select window installed, what other car had dot matrix?

I'd be interested in it if the price was lowered because if you bolt that piece on a marauder the window select doesn't line up correctly.... if on a marauder and you drop it down to 2, the window select will show 1/2 of the #3


I can show a picture if needed

Yours will need the gear select piece broken off and install the correct part from a donor car.

Check with a member who has a Canadian Marauder to see if theirs is a 2 or a 3..Maybe it is a blem and like is worth bazillions or $8.00

Nope. The Crown Victoria LX Sports, Marquis LSEs, and Continentals were all chrome.

The dot-matrix trim pattern was unique to the Marauder.

Lines up perfect with the oem shift plate.

I wanted a chrome shift surround, its from a fwd Continental.
