Ok here is my situation I have a used 04 MM and the previous owner installed LED Headlights and the issue is that one of them is out. My situation is before I take it all apart I see there is an added wiring harness and all sorts of different adapters near the headlights. My question is - is it more economical to just convert it back to regular headlights or try to find a replacement LED bulb? Also are these adapters hardwired or just plug and play? Meaning, am I going to have to splice in a new wiring harness?

All depends on how the LED lighting was done. Some LED conversions are higher quality and well done and new bulbs can be easily sourced. Some LED conversions are of a poorer quality and may be worth going back to OEM. You can message FastBlackMerc here in this forum and he may be able to set you in the right direction. Do you have pics of what you're working with?

Haven't even disassembled anything yet, just gave a quick look under the hood and saw quite a bit more wiring with a little box on both sides. I'm probably going to have to remove the radiator cover and possibly the battery just to gain access.

Sure it’s not just HID’s? Three bolts to remove the lens, swap the bulb.

I'm positive its not just HID's I wouldn't mind just changing to HIDs and doing away with the LEDs.

Had a poor experience converting one of my bikes to LED headlamps - thinking I wrote about it here? Brighter but projected less light onto the road - reverted to the H7 halogen OEM lamps. Projector design is the culprit.
