Hey guys! Picked up a 2003 Mercury Marauder this past March on the fly. Was bored one evening online and checking out some cars and thought about the Marauder. I remember when they came out and they were sweet. Within a month of searching, I found one in Virginia with 109,000 miles. Better than I imagined. Interior is extremely nice as well as the exterior with some few paint blemishes which is very minor and not noticeable. Overall, it is extremely nice………stock.
I was looking for something to use more than my other toy which is rarely taken out (1987 Grand National). I plan to keep it stock with the standard maintenance and to just enjoy driving it.
Will, here I am and hope to venture into this Forum more to learn about the car, maintenance and other misc. items. Nice to meet you all and look forward to conversing!

Welcome and Congratulations! Wonder how long it will take before you change your mind about keeping it stock and start modding...? :) Once you discover what it can do with a little modification, it can be a little addicting...

Welcome! Bring your car out to Carlisle All Ford Nationals the first weekend in June and join your fellow Marauder owners. Quite a few of us will be there for the show. For info take a look at the Carlisle threads in the events forum. Maybe we'll see you there.

Thanks everyone. I heard about the Carlisle and might consider it if I'm able to. I can imagine what can be done with these cars but I think I'm happy leaving it stock (for now).
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one around here with a Marauder.

Welcome. If you don't have a tune for the car you should get one even if you do nothing else to it. Well worth the transmission reschedule alone. Contact Marty from Mo's Speed Shop(site sponsor) for a Marauder specific tune.

I personally think closer to stock is a good choice if driven daily. The only things I have done are:
Widened the rear wheels to run the wider tires.
CAI.
Marty O's tune (best and must have especially for the transmission).
Class Glass cowl hood (just looks cool and mean).
Want to replace muffler (Mafnaflow). They are in the garage waiting.
Happy motoring.

Actually, the one thing I did notice shortly after I got the car the tires are bigger on the fronts and rears. Actually looks nice if you ask me.
