Hi all. I finally landed mine! After years of looking and watching I finally found a marauder. I've got a young family so I wanted a driver that I can enjoy and work on without adding another long term project to a list that is way too long. It is a 6/02 build with 110k miles.

The previous owner parked it two years ago after the "alternator died." The price was right and it was local, so I went to look at it. Pulled the plugs, oiled the cylinders, and checked everything over. Put in a new battery and it fired right up. Glad I negotiated the price before I started it because I think it broke the owners heart to hear it running again as I loaded it onto the trailer.

Here's what I know: It sat for two years. All the plugs looked great with nice even brown except for number 3 which has me a little worried. Leakdown and coolant pressure checks will happen next to verify it is okay. Engine is stock except for a K&N intake flopping loose. Body is in good condition but the clear coat is pretty milky. I'll see what a cut and buff does for it. The interior needs a little help though. Upholstery is good with the exception of a hole in the drivers seat bottom near the left hinge. I'll spend some time to do just a little de-ghetto work and will need to track down some dot matrix pieces and a headliner. What possessed him to try the tigerwood overlay is beyond me.

Anyway, look forward to learning and sharing my progress with everyone. It also has factory heated seats, sunroof, and spoiler.

Another marauder back on the road shortly. Plenty of pictures for you to look over...

Welcome and congratulations
The alternator is Marauder specific, I would buy a used one vs a reman, so many people getting bad new ones

Www.car-part.com might have one local to you.

Glad to see another back on the road

HID headlight conversion, a dead pedal, pedal covers, and S55 tail lights... I wonder who the former owner was.

Thanks for the welcome and the parts leads. We have a very good local electric shop so I will probably have the alternator rebuilt there. I think the biggest challenge is going to be finding a good replacement headliner.

TV6, the 'murica mirror is what sold me on the car!

I already have a set of pier's pedals so this one may get a t-56 conversion in the distant future.

Also forgot to mention that the previous owner said he put a Reinhart tune on it. He gave me the SCT tuner that supposedly has the stock tune on it. I'll have to do some research on that.
