If you are running the stock alternator and stock equipment the OEM wires are sufficient. I did the big 3 upgrade because of my audio equipment and 250amp alternator.

Even if your not running a monster audio system any car can benefit from the "big 3 upgrade".
This upgrade replaces or augments three key cables in the electrical system with 1/0 or 4 gauge wires: the battery ground to chassis wire, the chassis to engine block wire, and the alternator plus to battery plus wire. This increases your electrical system's current flow capability, ensuring a more consistent voltage under varying demand conditions.

Jim, that's the best explanation I've read anywhere... :D

Great info! I think I'll have to do this. I'm seeing under 12v sometimes. Too much bump in the trunk.

I don't have time to read all that I'm sorry. I'll try the big 3 and go from there!

And when he turns his stereo on, the lights dim in neighboring commercial buildings. Salt Lake City area hospitals use his Marauder for their kidney stone patients... As his pounding base breaks up the stones into passable non events.

Great info. This doesn't sound or seem too difficult. Are there kits for this?

I have a new DB Electrical made-to-order for a MM 200 Amp alternator I was just about to sell here. Retail price Amazon and elsewhere is around $253.00 with free shipping. I'll sell this one for $215.00 and I will cover UPS Ground shipment. I also have the recommended Painless wiring kit which is about $64 at Amazon for which I will ask $40 shipping included. I will also throw in an upgraded fuse block with 150 and 200 amp fuses if you buy both items.
PM me for payment details.

Jim, I looked under "Sticky" for big 3 wire upgrade and found nothing listed.
Thought this would be a good upgrade for my daily driver. I have a large aftermarket amplifier.
Are wires cut to size ?
Are ends heat shrinked and crimped ?
Want good but battery terminals nothing fancy.
What is your recommendations and cost ?
