Is anyone running 295/40/18 on your Stock Front Rims? The tire height is equal to stock (27.3"), but is 11.6" wide. 235/50/18 are only 9.3" wide.

I run 295/45's or widened rims. Run 245/45's on the front stock width rims.
The recommended rim width for 295's is 9.5" - 11".
Here s a good width calculator.

I think the 295's on front will rub.

245/55 is 2.2% smaller. Will that throw off the Traction Control?

255/45/18 Front (Any tire of Your interest).
265/50/18 Rear (Nitto).
Best* options for factory wheels.
*To stay within traction control specs.

OK...I am going to put Nitto redlines on my '04 DTR (25,000 miles) because I still miss the ones I had on GTOs in the '60's.
It is my understanding that these sizes you posted in this thread will not cause the traction control to malfunction or throw codes and that the stock wheels will be fine as well...with no rubbing of suspension parts, et al.
That is what I gather from the post but just want to make sure again.
Thanks.

255-45 ......not the other way around, it is 27 inch tall, oem is 27. 4.. a 1.1% difference, I run them myself with 295-45 in rear..no issues

OK...I think I have learned that a 255/45/18 front and a 265/50/18 or a 295/45/18 will be fine with stock wheels with no issues...and diamondback tires makes all of those in the redline type I want...so I think my DTR 25K garage queen/show car will be very happy...and so will I
Thanks for all the information...

Thanks everybody...just wanted to make sure of the sizes before I ordered the tires from diamondback...those redlines are even more expensive than the Cooper RS3-S tires I have on my daily driver/auto cross '06 Impala SS.
Yikes.
I appreciate all the information. Good to be back on this site.

I already run 295/45 Ventus in the rear. Looking for new choices for
Black Marauder. Currently have Ventus V12 Evo 2 on. My silver, which is now running (purchased 7 months ago with engine light on) has the rear tires on front and oversize on rear.
Yes, I have to turn the traction control off every start.
For silver, I'm thinking Pilot Sport A/s 3+ and maybe the new
Hankook Ventus S1 Nobelz (OEM tire on Explorer Sport) for the rear.
