I'm hoping to get more interest in room reservations for 2019 to see more Marauder owner attendance at Carlisle. It's a great weekend and without a Marauderville, it is one of the last yearly club events to draw members from across the country. As you know, room rates for that weekend can be really expensive throughout the area. I'd like to keep our Marauders at Carlisle group block at The Central Hotel alive to offer a less expensive rate at a really nice, full service hotel with a pool and a huge parking lot. Not to mention O'Reilly's Tap Room where a full hot breakfast is included with your room.

That leaves 5 rooms to go! If the rest sell out soon enough, the hotel has agreed to add more if they have any.

What a blast from the past, Charlie! I'm sweating just looking at those pics and remembering how hot it was. I've named everyone I recognize: Blackened300a, Krytin (Paul), N40GL (Mark), Ken, TSPA (Tom), SMOKE (Jonathan)and sister, SilverSurfer,( Brian), Mr. Man, O'sFan Rich and the GF (Denise?). I hope that we can fill the 10-room block early so we would have enough time to grab more rooms from the hotel to add to our block! I think we only need three more early birds.

Yup, Jim, Marauder Mountain gives us better temps/breezes... and views! Re the 3 remaining rooms: If we can get them reserved soon enough, I was told the hotel will add additional rooms for us. The key will be how soon this can happen since June is a very busy time at the Central Hotel what with weddings, friar conventions and the ever delightful baby beauty contest. :D I swear those trophies were twice the height of those little girls.:eek:

Hey guys, just bumping in hopes 3 more of you might be looking to book a room for Carlisle All Fords 2019 and pick up the last 3 rooms remaining in our 10 room group block.

I'd like to be able to add more rooms but unlike years past the hotel will not set any more rooms aside for Marauders at Carlisle until/unless we are able to fill the current block. Our room reservations have dwindled over the past couple years and I had to persuade the hotel to give me even a small group block for next year. Time is of the essence to add any more to our block because the hotel typically fills up well ahead of time for June. is it the same time as the hot rod power tour Carlisle All Ford National is held the first weekend in June so it will be Friday through Sunday May 31-June 2, 2019. The 24th annual Hot Rod Power Tour was held June 9-15 this year, 2018. A quick check for dates in 2019 gave me nothing so not sure. Maybe someone can chime in to tell us.

Would you consider driving out to Carlisle? The Power Tour is awesome, of course, but Carlisle is pretty awesome, too.:cool:

Our usual itinerary is
Thursday night - dinner at the Texas Roadhouse, 1 mile from hotel
Friday night - dinner at the a great Mexican restaurant in Harrisburg, a few miles from hotel
Saturday night - dinner at a local brewery, also a few miles from the hotel.

We used to BBQ at the show field but that meant several people didn't get a chance to relax. Now we just buy our lunch, but we do bring snacks and items to share. I bring home made Sangria.

DavidWelcome David! Congrats on your (DTR) Dark Toreador Red '04! There are many of us that facilitate our clubs participation at Carlisle but no one is "in charge" so to speak. (I put together hotel group rates at The Central Hotel & Conference Center every year in Harrisburg) Carlisle is something our club members have been attending for many years and people participate because they enjoy being with friends and meeting new ones. Sadly our numbers are dwindling now. Our cars are getting older, and unlike Corvettes for example, they only made a few Marauders so our car numbers are falling. We really look forward to having you join us! It's a great group and you will be most welcome! Feel free to bring food if you like. Some bring adult beverages, soft pretzels and snacks to share. Car Show Newbie

So, I now have my Marauder up and running as a daily driver and going to morning car shows (donuts). Also, just picked up an 85.5 Mustang SVO that is mostly restored. Bringing it home Wednesday. (not the green one from a previous post) It is red. My 16 year old son is very excited about having the weekend car.

So, never been to Carlisle but would like to bring both if possible (son won't have license yet). Anyway, what is story with registering vehicles. How should I do this? One for the mustang in the mustang area? Does it matter where? Etc....

Hey Greg, you and your son will really enjoy Carlisle all Fords weekend. Go online to Carlisle Events and search All Fords in June 2019. It will guide you to register your vehicles. For your Marauder be sure to name mercurymarauder.net as your club affiliation. also remember to pick what kind of Marauder you have. There are 3 choices, 1 N/A and & 2 S/C based on year. The number of registered club members dictates the size of the tent they provide to us so the more there are the bigger our tent. For your son and the Mustang, if he's not in a Mustang club then he will register his car based on year and model. Registration is open now and there may be an early bird discount so check it out sooner than later.

Go here and pick the appropriate header: Marauder are under national show field, your Mustang might qualify for one of the other registration headers.

Greg, I forgot to mention what's probably obvious, your cars will not be in the same location on the show field. Marauders have been up on the hill and Mustangs dominate the flats. Of course your son has full use of our club's tent etc. :)

Hey Chris, sorry I didn't respond to this sooner. So to reserve your room you'll need to give them a credit card number. Your card won't be charged until you actually stay at the hotel. You can make a reservation now and if you don't get time off just cancel the room on or before the cancellation date. It's usually 24-48 hours before your reservation but double check to be sure. You really need to come this year!

30-50ish. Been on the lighter side the last few years. Hard to get the youngins' to come out. Definitely worth the trip to see all the fabulous Ford products.

I have already made my reservation and signed up to take both my Marauder and the Mustang SVO. But, my son only has his learners permit and can't get his full license until July. Trying to see if my neighbor will go but probably would only go for the day.

So, might need an additional adult to either drive or ride along with my son each day. I figured it would work out somehow - so signed up for both cars.

When it's gone, there's a slim chance I could get you a room if you contact me right away. Remember that many area hotels will be sold out soon if they aren't already because of Carlisle so please don't wait if you need a room for this event.

I absolutely trust him to stay home alone with the kids :D....he'll be holding down the fort while I'm in California in June.
