Well the weather is warming up and that means it's time for this years Cruise at Misquamicut Beach to begin again. The first one is scheduled for Thursday, June 17 at 5:30 p.m. Music, raffles, and good old fashioned gear head talk are the main happenings. I'll be there. If anyone is interested, pm me for directions. :bounce:

Just a refresh in case anyone is interested. Quickie directions, take the rte. 2 exit from (in CT) from whichever highway you're on. Go south to rte 78. Go straight thru light at end of 78, to first stop sign. Go left, pass straight thru light until road ends. Take a left, we will be about 100 yds on left. Now, back to cleaning.

While I'm sitting here trying to nurse a minor back spasm, I figured I'd let everyone know that tomorrow, July 8, 2004 is the next Misquamicut Beach
Cruise. I'll be there, 5:30ish to dusk. Also, this weekend in Norwich is the big car show at Dodd Stadium. I'll also be there, but as a spectator/father's assistant as they have that silly pre '79 rule. Dad has a 55 Crown Vic and a 56 Fairlane, so I can help with that anyway.

Next beach cruise, Thursday July 22, 2004. That's tomorrow (as I write this). I'll be there with my nephew, time to continue the gearheadedness. Hope to see some of you. If you need directions, pm me.

Paul, what are your cruisin' times? Just wondering since I've got a dance I go to at about 9pm on Thursdays.. If you're finishing up around 7ish I could attend and be late to the dancing.

My Marauder just hit the road today.. "Hey.. there's an excuse to drive for 3 hours to fool around for an hour in another state.." is actually sounding like a really good idea at the moment :)

Capt., you are correct on the pronounciation. The cruise usuallly starts winding down around dusk, whatever time that is. It's summer at the beach, I have locked away my watch. I was however unable to attend this evening. I seem to have dropped a cylinder on my boat motor. (Actually I think I've got a bad coil). It took me until almost dark to return from my excellent fishing adventure with my nephew and friends son. We got lost in the fog, couldn't make more than 5 knots, but had a blast. I'll post for the next cruise a little earlier, I think it's in two weeks, I'll check. The Heberts Candy Mansion cruise is next Thursda, and is probably a lot closer to you. It's on rte 20 in Shrewsbury.

Well it's time again, Thursday August 5 is the next cruise. I'll be there, again, maybe try to win that 50 - 50 raffle for a change. The next one after that is the 19th.

Thursday night, 5:30 pm to dusk is the last cruise on the beach for 2004. I'll be there, and I believe my Dad is going to show up with his '56 Ford. I've been polishing all day in anticipation of this event.
