Tail of the Dragon/Cherotala Skyway cruise 2018.

The date for this year's cruise is October 6, 2018. Details for this event will be forthcoming within the next couple of weeks. Around this time of year, the fall foilage will be starting to be at their peak at around this time of year, so accommodations in the area could be a little pricey and may be in short supply due to this area being very popular for its mountain scenery. I had already made hotel reservations at the same place as last year from October 5-7. Planning to do the reverse of last year's trip, this time driving through the Cherotala Skyway first & ending at the starting point of the Tail of the Dragon. Stay tuned for updates.

Sounds interesting. The only time I did this circuit was the Triumph R.A.T. event in the fall of 2003 - had a blast. By the fall of 2004, I was working 24/7/365 until a disability retirement last year. Looking for a change of pace - finally.

We're in Robbinsville now. There's several Mustang's in the parking lot and all kinds of motorcycles. Looks like it's going to be a busy day on the Dragon tomorrow.

I checked in around 9:15 pm in Andrews,NC. There are several car clubs that are in attendance tomorrow and also there is an all Ford show in Maggie Valley, North Carolina on Saturday as well.

Thanks for everyone that attended this past weekend (82dawgcrazy,Granddaddy Marq & spouse, 03mmmonroe & Gryphonzus & spouse.) The weather cooperated completely for this event with higher than usual temperatures for the season. I hope to do this again next year & that everyone had a safe trip home.
