I just purchased a 200 Amp alternator to use on my CV. My CV currently has a 4G 110 amp alternator. The current (large) 3 wire plug has color coded wiring. I have the wiring diagrams for the 4G. I don't want to burn up my system by wiring the new connector wrong.

I don't have a wiring diagram for the 6G alternator. I'm assuming the pin out is the same as the 4G just with a smaller connector plug. The new (small) 3 wire connector pigtail has three black wires, no color coding, so I don't know which is pin 1.

My question is; Where is pin 1 in the voltage regulator connector, is it the pin closest to the large red output lug, (on the right looking at the alternator from the back)?

I've already been there, several times. No help.

In the connector picture, am I looking at the plug face on or from the back?

Thanks,

This site requires an e-mail, but it doesn't have to be your real one:

When you see WIRING DIAGRAMS, click that button.

Thanks,
But I have both the "Wiring Diagrams" and "Workshop" manuals for my '04 CV.
