My 04 is in the shop getting an eaton swap done. The shop is talking about doing a custom cold air intake with polished tubing that points downward 90* from the throttle body towards the suspension with a slot style MAF (says better for future tuning). So, that means, keeping the battery and all on the passenger side too. What do ya'll think?

Watch for water. I did the same thing and it wasn't even low and the tire painted the filter with water.
A CAI won’t make one of difference performance wise

A CAI won’t make one of difference performance wise
If someone has a pure stock Marauder I recommend the CAI if they do nothing else. I installed a K&N CAI a few weeks back and it made a noticeable, positive difference by itself. Picked up the car today from MartyO's shop after a number of tweaks/upgrades were performed - a pleasant and expected transformation took place. I was hesitant about having anything changed as the car was running quite well - no regrets.

You will see no performance gains whatsoever putting a "cold air kit" on an Eaton swap car. Stock cobra ziptube and a conical k&n is sufficient.

Hahahahahahahah….Bhahahahahaha …. Wait....
You think your CAI made more power over the stock unit? Nope, they don't.
CAI kits, especially ones made from and metal are HAI kits....
Hot Air Kits..

More power? Faster? Dunno. Car does feel 'more lively' with the CAI by itself. Still recommended, even if doing nothing else to the car.:coolman:

Down by the suspension is also down by the manifold/header..
Plus you want a straight section of pipe for a decent distance before the MAF.

Thanks Justbob. I think everyone misunderstood the term I was using CAI. Not as a real CAI, but as an aftermarket air inlet with filter & MAF to the throttle body on an Eaton swap.
I spoke to the shop and they are swapping the battery to the other side in order to make room for the stock cobra setup (like a typical eaton swap). I didn't want to take the chance of it looking other than it should.
