Does a MM have a rear factory subwoofer? If so what size is it?

Yes, 6 inch IIRC, under rear left speaker in the trunk. Its crap, get a compact 8 inch that can mount on the rear shelf or some 12" thumpers to distort the sheet metal.

If your sub is dead, I found this speaker fits almost perfectly (https://www.parts-express.com/goldwood-gw-6024-6-1-2-butyl-surround-woofer-4-ohm--290-351). It's the only speaker I found that fits the stock enclosure with little modification.

6.5". The problem with replacing it while using the stock sub-box is depth, as most aftermarket subs have a larger magnet and need a deeper mounting depth. One thing is that the bottom of the sub box has a support for the stock sub to sit on, this can be cut down with a dremel. This will allow a deeper sub but, the second thing, is that the sub box dishes in on the side to make room for the full size spare (not like they would change it even though they changed to the mini). This can be pushed out with a heat gun. Doing both I installed the JL 6W3v3-4. The difference in size is 4.25 in depth with a 4.25 magnet vs the stock 3 inch depth with like a 3 inch magnet. Also, the box size is near perfect for the JL's sealed enclosure specification and it still clears the spare.
