Any marauder members have a 2005 vic lx sport?


If so, please post your voltage set point for your alternator/battery.
I believe im having some issues or maybe its just my set point from factory. Never noticed this until now but my voltage set point is around 13.5 at start up and drops down to 12.9-13.1.

Crown Victoria sport is also pulse width modulation from the PCM?

I believe so. Its control by the PCM.


I would post this in CVN.net but that site been down for a while now. I am not sure if there is a difference with civilian and p71 crown vics. I do know that p71 have a higher voltage set at around 14.1-14.5


I have under drive pulleys on mine but kept alternator pulley stock. Ive raised RPM with tune from marty. I have a 200 amp p71 alternator. Ive replaced battery and alternator just to confirm and rule those out. Is my set point really this low from factory?

Smaller crank pulley will still turn the alt slower...

I would say the aftermarket pulley system is why your alt is lower, wouldn't the aftermarket alt pulley be a lot smaller?

I have a stock p71 200 amp alternator. Pulley is good. So your saying the the steeda water pump and crank pulley might be my issue?

When you do underdrive pullies I would assume you would also install the smaller alternator pulley to speed it up since the balancer pulley is spinning slower.
I have a buddy 10 minutes away with a 2005 cv dark grey sport. I could check his voltage, how are you checking yours?

So surprisingly this morning i started the car and volt read 13.5. Then dropped to 13.2 while driving to work it started raising to 13.9 and stud there. After work turned it on and was at 13.3. While driving home went down to 13.1 and stayed at 13.1. Been driving around town handling bussiness and its stuck on 13.1. So weired.

Do you happen to know what is it at start up. 13.6 is not bad. Problem im having is that its not steady at that.


This morning at 1st start up and 79 degrees outside it was at 13.2. while driving around town for 5 mins before getting on the highway, dropped to 13. about 10 mins on the highway at 75mph, slowly makes it way up to 13.9. by the time I got to work, it was at 13.1-13.2.


Ive gone around wires and connects 5-6 times. Ive replaced battery and alternator. Is it really my steeda UD doing this?
