Hey guys,
There were a lot of comments online about who or what kind of person bought Tyler’s Marauder and I thought I’d let everyone know about it.
I’m a huge car guy and have been a fan of these cars since I went and looked at them brand new with my father when I was 15 or so.
This car has been added to my little fleet and I’ll take very good care of it.
So far I’ve removed the red badges and lettering on the rear bumper, fixed those horrible headlights and I also had some window tint added.
I’ll be slowly doing a lot of work to it. I hope to learn a lot from you MM freaks on here!
This picture was from the night I picked it up.

Welcome and Congratulations! Sounds like you already have the Mod Bug! Post pics when you're done with everything!

Congrats on the purchase.
Definitely get some boost in it.
Question: Looking the car from the angle you took the picture.
Are the tires in the back the same size as the ones in the front?
They should be bigger in the back..

They are smaller but I’m already changing all of them.

Welcome, just drive the car in reverse and the tire size won't matter ;)

Welcome. FWI modding these can be addictive and awfully expensive...

Nice Score!
Hoovie is a used car dealer and a wannabe stand up comic, don't feel bad about his wisecracks, his next "cheapest Rolls/BMW/Smart Car" adventure will punish him enough. LOL.
Did you get the 15-inch "Coffin Full O' Subwoofers" in the trunk when he sold it to you?

Looks like the Car Wizard is cashing in on the "Hoovie Effect" with your car update. Do they give you a discount on repairs when your car becomes their newest online subject?

I'm interested to see if his buddy can fix the tach issue. My last MM had the same issue and if he solves it, I'll pull this cluster and send it to them to prevent the same signal drop on my current MM.

I had the weirdest realization when I watched The Wizard's video. These cars have been out of production for a long time. There weren't even a ton of them made in the first place. To have something so unique to that car such as the gauge cluster fail, you'll have to find some sort of specialist that can rebuild the original component. Replacement parts just don't exist.

This is why I have two of everything lol
Welcome and congratulations!

If this car is anything like other Ford vehicles, they likely used off the shelf parts for other vehicles. The tach is a motor driven by a signal. Either the signal is bad, the connection at the motor, or the motor itself. If its the motor, it made by someone to Ford's specs and purchased. This means there's likely replacements on the market.

Oh for sure. With enough component knowledge anything is possible. But, your average Joe Blow isn't going to know how to diagnose and find a replacement component and replace it in his garage.

congratulations, and tell the Wizard to quit wasting his time fixing that crummy Alpine, get a 6 CD Audiophile unit from a wrecked Ford Escape. plugs right in same connectors, and the steering wheel volume controls etc...work with your Marauder. Eddie on here has some units for sale I believe...fluid every 30K.
Get a "U Haul" trans pan, rock auto has one, it has a drain plug, drain the fluid every 30K , don't need to change the filter every time.
