Installed 300A seats in my 300B and the airbag light started blinking. It is not a code so couldn't clear it with my tuner. Unhooked the battery for a few seconds now the light is on steady. Any thoughts?

This happened to a Lincoln LS at my old shop. U-Pull seats... had to pop all the hog rings and switch ALL the harnesses, seat transmissions, and airbags. Then reinstall the foam and upholstery. I hope yours is not that involved.

Yes it will be. The seat sensors are programmed to the Air bag module.

You can bypass the seat air bags with air bag simulator’s, essentially it is a resistor in a plastic housing that plug into the seat harness, any panther that had no seat air bags will have these plugged into the harness. Ford didn’t make a bunch of different seat harness’s in 03’-04’

Hey, i swapped out the light flint interior out of that silver birch.
The dark charcoal seat came as a spare seat from the other silver birch whipple i bought from Todd in st louis.

So i just swapped the seat, and i never got a airbag light to come on..... lead me to wonder if the bulb was removed... hmmm might have to double check this issue. Or maybe im lucky

When i switched out the light flint from my 3rd silver car, i found out the hard way that a heated seat (actual connectors on the seat) are completely different from a non heated seat car. 2004 on both cars.

Sucks

While the connectors from the seat base to the car are different, the airbag wiring is the same

So even though both sets of seats have airbags, you are saying the seats are matched to the air bag sensor? I have the light flint seats, what will I need to change? Thanks for the help.

If both sets have airbags, then there is potentially an issue with the air bags or the wiring of the seats that were installed. You would need to check the code to determine which side to look at and go from there.

The airbag code is displayed by the air bag light, and the number of times it flashes

Compare the connector and wires from one set to the other and see if they are the same or not. I've swapped seats from one year to another and had to re-wire one of the connectors because from one year to another Ford changed the wire routing within a connector.
