I am determining interest for a group event and have found road coarse days cost about $500. This is a simple poll just to determine interest and not a commitment to any specific event. Simply vote yes or no.

I'm guessing the insurance to cover such an event is ridiculously expensive....

Doesn't look like I can pay that much. My "I need $500 so I can run my car on a road coarse." Go Fund Me page only raised $8.

Good point...
How long is the event? If it's a couple hours, NFW. If it was an all day, two day event, hell yeah:D

Why so pricey? Our local track has open lapping days about $140. Track rental is $500 per hour or 4-6k per day depending on day of the week.

It costs $ 250 for two 15 minute sessions at the New Jersey Motorsport Park when my SAAC club runs an event there. We rent the larger Thunderbolt track.
The smaller Lightning track is banked and made more for motorcycles.
When I run at Charlotte Motor Speedway with the MCA weekends, it is $ 150.00 for two sessions.
I think $ 500 is a bit much.

Only if it was for two days with at least 4 twenty minute sessions per day.
