You ever drive down the street and your trunk starts bobbing open? Having owned the Marauder for 12 years, there are rare occassions where apparently you don't slam the trunk closed enough or maybe the release pull handle gets caught on some junk in the trunk, and you hit a bump or something on the road, next thing you know, your trunk is bobbing open?
Can't just be me. Usually I just pull over and give it a good slam.
Well, unfortunately, this time I was close to work and some of my things in the trunk did fall out onto the road. Was able to retrieve my ipad with no harm but hoping nothing else important came out.

Never has happened to me with lots of miles. Sound like you latch is not adjusted correctly and is not latching properly.

Thanks. Could just be me, I don't know. Its not a regular occurance for sure. Might only have happened less than I can count on both hands the entire time I've had the car.
Part of it could be that the last four or five years, I just have a lot of stuff in the trunk. All the stuff my wife doesn't want around like old papers, things I don't want to part with, various seveniors, car parts, my old broken laptop I hope to fix someday, etc.

If stuff is piled that high, clean out the trunk!!
300a has same trunk placement as all marauders, it just has the GAS cap button too...

I noticed you were up at 5:45 way too early for me these days!

You need to make sure your "cargo " is dead, not just unconscious before putting it in the trunk. Problem solved!

This happened to me once, with a load of laptops in the trunk. Fortunately I was able to notice it and pull over before I lost any, or worse, they fell out into traffic.
Won't make that mistake again.

I've had it happen several times, normally it was due to a pocket dialing/opening (Accidently hitting key fob button by leaning up against or carrying something hitting trunk release or alarm). If its the alarm I notice immediately. If its the trunk I may not notice it being popped up a little until I start driving down the road, then seeing it start bobbing. Normally, I notice before I get very far.

My wife won't let me keep my clutter in the house that we rent and my storage facility space already is filled to the brim with my parts hoarding, tools, keepsakes, personal items, and games and collectibles etc. And I already got two cars ,my Marauder and the 88 ex-police Crown Vic. So I use the space in the trunks also especially since my wife wanted my stuff out of the garage when her parents came and staid at the house for the wedding. She wants to keep the garage nice and neat and she parks her car there.

I had my wife try getting out of the trunk once with the release while I was taking her out in the woods to bury her. I just cut the damn thing off.

So much wrongness in this post.
( I would buy a new 'Wife Release' mechanism.)

I've accidently hit the trunk button on the key fob several times while fumbling the keys as I got in. I usually hear it pop. Not always. No bodies fell out but one time I did it right before I pulled into a touchless car wash and didnt hear it. Suffice it to say, my trunk got cleaner than I expected.
