Okay so I'm curious which blower would be the best to go with. a 2.3 Whipple what I'm kind of looking at or the m122 GT500 blower. I've got built engine in my car and transmission so no worries there I'm going to be running 60 pound injectors with an Aeromotive 340 fuel pump with a boost a pump. Horsepower I would like to see 550-600 to the wheels without having to deal with the heat soak. I live in Texas so it's pretty warm. I just sold my Trilogy supercharger kit so with that money I'm going to go and buy all the eaton swap specific parts. and then from there I know with the GT500 blower I have to get the adapter plate from Cobra engineer. and make modifications to the blower for the fuel rail to fit and all that. if I went that route. if I go with the 2.3 Whipple I'll have to move my battery to the driver side no big deal I've done several Eaton swaps. Just curious which one would net the most horsepower and run the coolest.

Off topic but hey, another Texan Marauder! If you are in the DFW area we ought to try to get a few of us together one day.

I would advise you to not use a BAP with a high draw pump.
You cannot compare a Whipple to a M122. They are apples and oranges so the answer would be Whipple.
Whipple vs GT500 TVS is a whole other conversation as the TVS will yield lower IAT's and make the same power.

With your target HP I would personally run a 2.9 in favor of the 2.3. You could hit your target with ease with plenty more to be had later. Run dual pumps and don’t look back.
As for heat soak, killer chiller.

Per Kill Chiller FAQ;
"You will see about an average of 5-7 degrees increase in the in cab temps under optimum conditions...".
To run it at a drag strip will you need to capture the condensation?

Killer Chiller makes a drag kit one

I have a gt500 blower on mine and had a M112. The batter relocation was easy with the m112. However when I switched to the M122 the power increase was huge. I really don't see hitting 600. I have a BAP and an aeromotive 340 and I'm seeing 525.
I cannot comment on the Whipple but if you found a tvs from a newer gt500 it would be a closer comparison.

That seems like a pretty good hp number for your setup.

It was uncorrected so it's fluffed up a little but it pulls hard. I've got the cobra engineering plate and so far I'm very glad I went this route.

Not bad. I saw 520rwhp with a ported M112 on MS109.
Now have a ported M122 which will be breaking 600rwhp,
BUT, the final goal is the 5.8 GT500 TVS, which kicks a$$!
The VMP Gen 3 2650 TVS would be even better!

So if I go with a 2.3 Whipple and stick with a single fuel pump setup like I have now with 60 pound injectors I could probably be in lower 500hp on the safe tune. from what I gather so far from everybody's comments if I wanted a more aggressive hp# I would need to do a dual fuel pump setup and possibly a 2.9.

To be honest I was mainly looking for an upgrade from the trilogy. I had as I previously stated before in other threads. it ran excellent in really cold weather, but on 80 degree plus days not so much. I figured with a 2.3 Whipple would be more consistent power.

2.3 tvs for a cobra will get you 550+ go to vmp website, tvs run cooler

If you plan on TVS why not buy the GEN3 2.65 instead of 2.3 !!

Granted with a single 340 and 60lb Injectors I'm only running 12_13 lbs of boost. I could spin this 122 alot harder with proper fuel. Maybe that and e85 would get me to 600?

Maybe,cause it's $1000 more. But I'm sure he'll ponder jt

The OP should definitely go with a Whipple, I love being the only Marauder powered by a GT500 TVS

There’s a crown Vic making 640rwhp with a ported M122. It can be done. With a Whipple or TVS and all the accompanying mods, A lot more

Bluevic? That's impressive.
I'm being very safe. I've got some smaller pulleys and another pump. But with these 4.10s it's fairly pointless to make more power when I spin more than a Dj. If I could find someone with 3.55s to swap when rear ends ,i would do the work. Otherwise tearing back into MI e will be soon.
If I could machine a tvs myself, I would probably upgrade. Just switching from a ported 112 to a ported 122, my iats went down considerably. Power went up, and I'm barely spinning it so it should last.

I'm thinking about going with the Cobra upgrade VMP 2.3 tvs blower. If I don't go that route it'll probably be a 2.3 Whipple. The GT500 tvs blower would be a good option but with the $600 adapter plate a 100 here hundred there it would be a little over my budget right now. I just want a fun street car with some good power that'll run on pump gas 91 or 93. Musclemerc's car is very awesome and he did an excellent job with his build. I got to give much respect to him on that build. Just want to say thanks to everyone on this form for all the information.

Thanks for the complement.
Just an FYI the GT500 SC has a larger footprint than the Cobra. This is why the Cobra SC never got the GenII-R option that's offered on the GT500's
In short, the GT500 unit is a bigger, more powerful unit. I chose the GenI unit because I didn't want to remove the SC to get to the fuel injectors on cylinders 7/8.
A new Trinity TVS can be had for $2300.00 youd have to grind the 5.8 off it but that's not a big deal. There are plenty of used units for sale now the 2650 is available.

If you want at 2.3 TVS you'll have to find a used one because they are being discontinued. You may luck up and find a new one if you try and purchase one today.
