A realistic person would liquidate an asset to regain a financial cushion.
I put my blower car for sale, my least driven car.
zero inquires until racingjunk ad. He has to have it, flying up in just days.

I describe the car and end with 'I reserve the right to end this sale until cash and title are exchanged, zero price negotiation'. He flakes out and can't fly up anymore. I am not sad.
I just registered this dirt cheap black.
Re tint the glass at 35% next week. A few cosmetics.
Will be my driver.
Do I really want to sell a Marauder????:help:

If you can afford to do so comfortably keep them all. I almost always regret selling my toys at one point or another.

Well, I'm sure he felt if he showed up with cash you might give him at least a little break, so I don't blame him for not flying up if he was hoping to save something. And I certainly don't blame you for saying you might change your mind and you won't negotiate. As long as my car is paid off I am keeping it. Most of the time it doesn't take much money to keep it going though it always needs something and there is always something more I'd like to do to it. In the meantime I often would like to buy a new GT350 or a CTS-V and then I think to myself, I already have a fun car that is really just as unique and getting rarer. So the car stays and I save even more money in the end. And that money can be spent back on the MM or one of the 442s.

Why have that which is easily obtained? Unique is cool, baby.

Never sell something if you feel the slightest bit of hesitation. Did the guy ask for a price drop? Maybe the guy didn’t flake because you didn’t want to negotiate on price. Maybe he flaked because your two day availibilty didn’t jive with his schedule for driving up and driving it back. And short notice flight tickets are pricey and so is auto transport cost. Maybe adding $3500 to the sales price. The car may very well be worth it but not everyone has an extra $3500 in their budget.

Seriously, this thread was a gag, not about anyone but me, flaking out, lusting on cars still after 40 years.

A few :D Thanks, rebuilding the engine on that one as we speak (talk about a money pit — Oldsmobile engines!, makes you want to drop a BBC in it sometimes).

Family is over one shoulder like "when are you going to sell that DTR?" I'm on the other shoulder like "I need to find a silver birch!" Haha.

That's my case now and why I still have them --actually have one more added to list , an '06 P71 Vic Street package that is perfect --just need to remember how to get it on the list--see below--

For me biggest issue is space. If I had space to keep cars I probably wouldn't sell anything I own.
