Just curious,
I have the Superchips Custom Tuner 9100 SCT with 4.10 gears.
Can I hook it backup and do fine tuning to my car like the 1725 tuner unit?
Or am I stuck with the program that was installed on it?
Thanks

To the best of my knowledge our 9100 tuners will only carry and deliver the program, not modify it themselves. You can purchase the software and cable to hook the tuner up to your PC, though, and then you can modify your programs. I've been contemplating this option as I'd like to mess with shift points and pressures a bit. Not sure it's worth the expense / effort, though.

Fourth is correct on this--the 9100 is just a storage/transfer device and can't "do" anything on its own. FYI: IMO, figuring out how to adjust shift points with the SCT software is quite a project. I'll let y'all know when I figure out how to do it myself . . . Unless you're Jerry W. himself, and know this stuff backwards and forwards, you must graph the trans pressure values, which are just a set of numeric values (most easily done in an Excel spreadsheet), and adjust the resulting shift points by trial and error. You have to be sure that the values don't "cross." This is a project I might try to take on over the next few months.

NBC Shoot, if you had a file to copy these values from could you change your shift points?

Hmmmm . . . good question, schuvwj. In a word, YES! Although you can't open more than one file at a time inside of the SCT Advantage software, it may be possible to open two "instances" of the tuning software in Windows, and copy and paste from window-to-window. Haven't tried that yet. If I recall correctly, I have been modifying many of my files by selecting a particular table's values from one .zcf file, and copying those values into the Window's clipboard. I then close that file, then open the .zcf file I want to modify (which is just another copy of my favorite mod file) and paste the clipboard memory into the table of values I want to change in the new file--this seems to work just fine.
