View Full Version : Is the LCM Programmable for LED LIGHTS?

I understand that the LCM can be programmed. Since the turn signal and hazard warning flash is controlled by the LCM I would like to know if it can be programmed to accommodate the LEDs. I believe that simply replacing the turn signal bulbs will result in “hyper flash” since one cannot replace just the flasher. Anyone crossed this bridge yet? Have not gotten an answer from FOMOCO yet..

You may want to reach out to FastBlackMerc, he is an expert with these.

It's not tunnable or reprogramable far as I know.
In order to fix the hyper flash you need to add a resistor in the wiring before the bulb. It's not complicated many have done it.

program the LCM, no..you need to add an electronic flasher..

A lot of LED bulbs now have the higher resistance/load built into them to avoid the hyperflash problem.

The LCM is not programmable to do what you want to do.

As mentioned you either need to add resistors to each LED bulb or add an electronic flasher. Have have the flashers and detailed instructions available if needed.

Electronic flasher is the way to go !

It's just the relay that controls the flash speed depending on load at the outputs. So if a bulb goes out it flashes fast to let you know.
