I don't get a "check suspension" light but when I go out to the car the rear always seems low. The wheels are deep into the wheel wells. When I drive, I do hear the compressor come on occassionally (seems like more often than normal these days) and when I get out of the car the rear level is somewhat ok looking. It does seem like the car feels bumpy from the back more than usual while driving.

I had the car at the stealership a few months ago and I assumed they would have let me know if something was wrong. And they didn't mention anything about it except that the compressor is kind of loud.

So should I assume it's ok and carry on? Maybe I'm just being paranoid.

Are ready shocks original? Check air suspension for leaks, soapy water on air bags, fittings, connections, could have a slow leak

I had the original Tokico shocks replaced by Big O Tires at 100,000 miles. I'm now at 180,000 miles. I think they are KYB but I'd have to check.

Check the leveling switch on the Watts link. Sometimes the arm gets disconnected. Clean lube and reinstall.

There are only a couple of scenarios that can cause the rear end to drop while parked. One is a leak in one or both air springs. The other is the solenoids being commanded to open when they shouldn't, like by a bad RAS/VAPS module. A third could be a defective solenoid, but that would only affect one side unless both are bad at the same time.

If you park on a odd multi angle driveway, then one side can look like it sits lowwwww.

If the loud compressor comes on, car drops with last door shut, then its operating normal.

My compressors always come on after the car is started, i assume from slight leaks, but mine is always loaded with tools and fat people, so it gets a workout.

Once, i started the car and shut the door, then loaded 700 lbs of concrete and gravel into the trunk and drove the car 2 miles home while my truck was broken. Handled it like a champ.

As some of you might remember, I had the air suspension light come on awhile back just as my fuel pump went bad. Had the fuel pump replaced but air suspension light kept coming on after about a half hour drive. The air compressor was sounding funny so I replaced it a few weeks ago. Thought I would try that first. But now the air suspension light has been coming on again. So I bought some air springs on Amazon so am going to get those installed. That should pretty much take car of it right? I'm at 181,100 miles.

Dont forget the solenoids, the ride sending unit and the ras vaps module.

If the compressor comes on and airs up the bags, then i would assume those were fine. My best guess is the sending unit may not be adjusted correctly.

Was the car normally at stock OE height? Have you tried adjusting the ride height sending unit?
Leave a door open, you dont want to get crushed, as in if the sender is set to lower the car, it will lower right down on top of you if the car doors are shut.
