Greetings all. First time poster, just signed up. Great site, thanks for existing!

I have a 2003 black MM that has been garage kept for years, 25k mile on it. Overall in great shape but I've been trying to tackle a few blemishes to return it as close to cherry as I can. I've had little luck finding salvage parts, and buying a parts car for clean body parts has been either too expensive, or what few bargain jewels have surfaced I've been a day late on...

If I'm posting in the wrong place please advise. I've been reading the forum off and on for a few years and I seem to remember they're used to be a parts room, but I'm not seeing it today.

Specifically:

BACKUP LIGHT ASSEMBLY PANEL I know a Grand Marquis panel could work if I were to paint the chrome strip, but the lenses are the wrong color and I'm trying hard to keep it authentic

REAR BUMPER COVER - Has a 1" hole in it that I could wind up having repaired, but it has other minor scuffs on it as well so I'm trying to exhaust this route first.

Greatly appreciate any insight, ideas, or resources.

Thanks,

bc

Fix and repaint the bumper cover. Finding one in better condition for the money you will need to shell out would at best be a wash just to buy it. What's wrong with the panel? If it's not broken re-paint it a be done with it.

What's wrong with trunk panel? They show up here, eBay. Plan on $ 200-300 for one. Rear bumper covers are going to be $450-800 and most needing paint work, prolky better off repairing yours. What happened to a low mileage car that sat to damage those parts?

Yeah on the bumper cover, will most likely fix it. Just looking at all of my options.

Backup panel, one of the lenses is broken out. But already managed to find a clean panel this morning with the help of one of the members here. It's red, but that's easily fixed.

To answer the question as to the damage...vandals. A few dents in the truck as well but easily taken care of.

I got an extra bumper cover but to ship it a sell it would cost way to much. Good luck and welcome to the site

Thanks. I'm going to be in Mansfield in a few months. If by some chance I haven't dealt with it by then, maybe I'll reach out.
