Hi All,
I ordered a reman. EATC unit cause I cannot switch to vent, floor, defrost, etc.
It looks like 1 vacuum line is missing. is it supposed to be like this?
already did blend door. And EACT test. no codes are showing.
Thanks, Anthony

Eatc default mode is defrost when the o rings are bad.

I think one vacuum port in the bad is supposed to be open/no hose
I believe that port is to let air back in when returning actuators to normal position.

Replace o rings
I bought a re-manufactured unit on ebay. Rings should be good right?

This might help you. O-rings are 7mm silicone IIRC.

There is supposed to be a "missing" hose.
If you don't get any air to the floor, defrost or vents most likely the o-rings are bad.
The EATC self-test will not return any codes if the o-rings are no good.
If your "remaned" unit had the o-rings replaced can only be verified by taking apart the unit.
If your o-rings are bad I can replace them and upgrade the button and fan wheel lights to LED.
PM me for particulars.
I'm actually working on a members EATC and compass right now.

Where does the air actually come out?
If it's vents only, it's not an O-ring problem. I O-ring'd my EATC in the past to solve the "stuck on defrost" only issue, but a couple months ago it got stuck on vent. The door in the HVAC behind the dash which switch between all the vents most likely broke. I wouldn't say it's a common problem but it's a common enough problem that I've seen it talked about on CVN. I'm going to have to pull the dash on mine this spring to take a look.

Never heard of that issue with a Marauder.

Sounds like my recent experience when ordering a ‘new’ battery for a used r/c car I had recently purchased. ‘Reman Batteries’ were being offered(!?!?) but I specifically requested a ’new battery’ for obvious reasons as they are still being manufactured. Sure enough, I received a ‘used battery’ that was way past its prime - it was returned to the vendor (on eBay) and a refund was issued through PayPal.
Ordered another ‘new battery’ from a vendor on Amazon; scheduled to arrive this week as I bought the car for my grand daughters. Hoping this one is legit as I paid somewhat more for it.

Same on Ford Rangers too.

Same on Ford Rangers too.
When my research revealed this issue, I replaced the blend door with the upgraded part that has the metal reinforced pivot when I replaced the plugged heater core.

Cars are getting older, new things are bound to break.
