Yes
One is for the PCM.
The other is for the electric fan.

are they the same size? I asked because I’m having a problem finding the right sensors

They may be the same size but they are completely different parts and are not interchangeable.

1 is the ECM coolant temp sensor

1 is the Engine coolant temp sensor

They may show different names on the parts with different manufacturers, look at the part description to tell.

The location on the engine will tell you which one it is.

I believe one is called cylinder head temp sensor on the Ford computer. Of course their own computer shows the engine as a 2V..

Even the terminals are different between the two so you can’t mix it up.

Which of the 2 coolant sensors do you want?

If not sure, which side of the coolant tube is the bad sensor on?

The diver side

IIRC that is the PCM one. Let others confirm as it’s been awhile.

The diver side

According to my 03 Mercury service manual the Passenger side sensor is the ECT (engine coolant temp sensor) and the drivers side is the CHT (cylinder head temp sensor)

If I'm wrong, someone will chime in.

ETC: Tasca lists p/n 9U2Z-12A648-A $48 on Amazon with free shipping.
My research may be in error, your results may vary.

You are correct, Rock Auto's site lists same p/n for both which is wrong. Their site has an error.

Until they correct it I would get from another source or order the Ford p/n online.

As far as I can tell according to Tasca site those are correct numbers but I'm not a parts guy.

Either wait till others chime in or stop at your local Ford stealership and ask if the #'s are correct.

If their price is a lot more, tell the parts dude what you can get for online and see if they can match or come close enough that it would be worth paying a little more to get right away.

I'm always negotiating with my guy.

He gives me lots of great deals and once in a while I'll pay asking to let them win occasionally.
