Not sure where to post this But since I’m already a member of this forum I thought I’d ask. I found a 2003 crown Vic lx sport out of state with 164k miles. I believe it’s a dealer from the posting. I will be calling on it when they open

It seams to be in very good condition. 1 owner car. Is 164k miles a lot?

I drive about 25k miles a year but I have a 2003 Tahoe z71 that’s my daily driver. I drive 60 miles a day round trip for my work commute. I would be alternating between driving the cvlx sport and the Tahoe. Just don’t know if that’s already too many miles or not.

Also I would be buying site unseen so taking a chance?

Here is the sellers description

Accessories; Window Vent Visors, Ford Molded Splash Guards, Fog Lights

This is an exceptional Crown Vic that has been in one family since new. It has been strictly maintained and garage kept. It has not been involved in any accidents and has never been smoked in. It is very very clean inside and out. The tires are 75% and Michelins. The paint is in good condition and the undercarriage is rust free and clean. It has the rare Performance Sport Package which includes the Marauder Console and Bucket Seats, The Police Dual Exhaust and Rear Axle and is the extra sharp Matador Red Clearcoat Metallic. This full size car rides and drives perfectly with no drama and no excuses, it is smooth and quiet, there is no check engine light on and it doesn't use oil beyond normal. These are hard to find this nice anymore and is a must see! All books, original window sticker etc are with car. Spare and jack are in place, this is an exceptional vehicle that gets good MPG (22+) and is as safe a car that there is and as comfortable as there is! Sharp Outfit!

Real nice, I'd want to see the maintenance records...if the transmission hasn't been done add that into your budget, otherwise that car can run along time.

I purchased a silver frost 2003 LX sport late last November, I have put 5000 miles on it and the only issue was the window regulator.

My oldest nephew came back from college and needed some wheels, so I've lent the car to him and he has been driving it for three weeks with no issues. When I purchased my car it had 182,000 miles, and I got a super great deal at $1600 for it

You never mention price point but the LX sport crown Vic usually don't retain a whole lot of monetary value, so if you can get that car for about 2000 to 2500 bucks maybe three grand if you're really hurting for a newer beater I would think that would be a good deal

Here in TX they think they can get Marauder prices for them. so they're asking 6k and 7k with high mileage. Lol

Try to find out what the oil consumption statement is about.

That is a clean ride. I'd bet they are asking $4M-$5M.

I have same color and year, and only see 18MPG. I drive mine for work and it is comfortable on freeway.

The issue you will have is the difference of driving from a high SUV seat to a lower sedan seat, as you can't see over other cars. Install the SS Brake hoses ASAP to make sure you STOP when needed.
