Hey guys, the trans in my 2003 MM shifts thru 1-3 before I hit 40 MPH, then as I build up speed goes into OD. Is that normal during everyday driving? Or is my tranny crying for attention?
It downshifts fine for passing on the highway and seems to shift fine when I accelerate fairly hard. Reverse is fine also.
This is my first Marauder so just asking what is considered "normal". It's got 111k on it.

The Ford shift schedule sucks. That’s why it does this.

I sell tuning that will cure this problem.

Ohhh ok I see so it's not really a "problem" Problem just a factory performance issue?

It was done for mileage for Ford's numbers. Get the tune from Marty, it will waken the car right up.

It's been so long since I had mine tuned that I totally forgot about how 'wonky' the shifting was...lol.
