its a 230k mile rusty Sbox, when you factor in the body work + labor, yeah I can see why it's totaled.

The miles alone would total it, in the eyes of the insurance company. If they searched for a grill, and the headlamp, and both came back "Unattainable" that would do it.

This car can be saved. What a Shame.

I saw the video and the engine sounded like it needed to take it behind the barn and put it out of its misery.

Anything can be saved with enough money, but at some point it does not make financial sense which is the case for this car. This is like a 2000 dollar car at best, I'm sure the rockers are totally destroyed if the fenders are that bad.
These cars have zero resale value anymore, they're worth more in parts. Honestly my black car has been pissing me off so much lately I've been very close to just stripping it down now, selling the parts of, scrapping the shell and using the money to get something newer.

I kept dropping the price but got no real interest. Probably because it has 190K on it. Everyone who does want one is looking for a car with 25K miles that was kept in a heated and cooled garage, was never raced, has $20K worth of upgrades, and is unwilling to pay more than $8000. A Trilogy would be a deal sweetener. Oh yeah and it can be any color except black.
I've seriously considered selling it off piece by piece but it would have to be like a U-pick-it. I don't do any heavy mechanical work since my stroke. I confine myself to plugs and fluids.
