Some time back, I bought a well used COT from a FB user. Dropped it off yesterday at a local shop for gloss Black Powder Coating. Shop owner is a car collector-restorer. Anyone care to share any useful tips?

Shortly after receiving COT from Facebook user.

Just needs a good sand blasting first.

Make sure you seperate the COT into 2 pieces, then blast it

Contractor didn't separate - he felt that was unwise. Didn't remove the fill plug either as he thought it was a plug/blank. Still, turned out well IMO.

Received my COT from the coatings contractor yesterday, sandblasted and powder coated. I originally received it heavily pitted with a coat of Rustoleum(?) presumably after the loose rust and dirt were cleaned off. It will now go into storage as a spare.
