The name says it all I guess, I thought I popped a bag, found this instead. What is the name of this part and what brand part would you suggest as a quality replacement? Car is stock but I like to buy parts a little better than what I'm replacing it the cost isn't outrageous.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190825/9fe7626bf7b93f6f3ebb9883662ff4 da.jpg

Upper control arm. Replace with Metco or Sparta Performance( Sponsors here) Replace the lowers while your at it (all 4 arms) Not hard to do just torque them to spec.

Based on condition of undercarriage, I would not spend the $ for metco..imo. someone prolly has their stock control arms laying around

But I'm probably gonna end up going to the local car parts store due to time constraints.

I have honestly never seen this happen, your car must be worn TF out if it's blowing airbags and snapping control arms.

The arms had 211k miles on then, plus as a DD, there's a good amount of rust from years of midwest winters.
