The door lock on the left front door only opens and doesn't lock with the switch or remote.
All other door locks work as they should.
I don't hear any sound when in L/f door when the remote or switch is activated to lock, it opens with remote or switch.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
John

Probably a bad solder joint. Re-solder or replace the switch.

I don't think it's from switch, because if so it will lock with the remote
I think you can try to reprogram the remote control to the car maybe it will work, let us know how it goes if you fixed it.

either you have a wiring problem or your lock actuator is crapping it. You can confirm it's not the switch by swapping them side to side noting that the problem remains.

usually the rivet breaks loose on the door for the actuator. With the door open you should see a rivet in the middle of the door down low. If its not there or loose then thats probably your problem.

Replaced the rivet prior to the current problem.
There is no movement or noise when attempting to lock. All others door locks are working as they should.
The only problem is the locking of the drivers door. It works fine with key fob or door switch to open.

I just encountered a similar, or the same problem. The door will not unlock or lock with the key fob, but the door will unlock with the actual key in the lock. Every time I attempt to lock it with the key fob, I hear something loose moving within the door. Is that door lock actuator or something else entirely?

I also found this link which I thought was helpful:

You ever find out what the issue was????

Thanks for finding this. I wasn't sure how to do this without using a rivet tool that I don't have.
