Most of you know this story but I felt like sharing it for those who don't... In 2012 I bought my Marauder and instantly found myself involved in a world I had not known about. After buying the car I noticed that my pedals didn't work, a quick google search brought me here. There were many others complaining of the same thing... joined the site, made a few inquiries... found a group of guys on here that shared my sense of humor and style (although not always welcomed by all :D) I then made the decision to make a replacement gear thanks to all of the support from everyone on here, almost everyone who was active at the time stepped right up and helped make the gear project happen. Along with the gear deal, I went to a Marauderville in South Haven Michigan and met a bunch of ya... then the next spring it was Louisville!!! Seriously had no idea that this one trip would introduce me to people that I now know will be in my life until my last breath... Since this time, I have had the privilege of not only getting to know many of you but also building and repairing your cars. I never would have guessed that buying a car and making a little gear would have affected my life like this... THANK YOU ALL, for being part of my life and allowing me to be in your lives...

Either you were still drunk from last night when you posted this (I LUUUUUVV U GUYZZZSSHH), or Meredith hasn't put out all week and you're begging for a reach-around.
At any rate, you are a blast to hang with and I agree that buying this car has created a lot of good times for everyone.

Well said Bill...........or Chris, or who ever your going by this week. I to never thought buying a car would introduced me to so many good people. I bought my car, shortly after I found this site and wanted to meet some of these people. So I loaded up the wife and made the 5 hour trip to Louisville 7. My wife wanted to know if there was going to be a bunch of those Car People there. And she didn't care about a bunch of those Car People, but she'd go just for a weekend away from the hassle around the house. Arrived late Thursday night, and was greeted with a big drunken hug from Ponyup who I had only met 1 time before, with Rex and Cwright right there with him. It was a great trip. There were some many good people there. So we left Sunday morning heading home. We hadn't made it around the Gene Snider freeway in Louisville when my wife asked "when is the next one of these and can we go to it too?" It ain't just a bunch of those "Car People " it's a Bunch of Good People you want to know.

Hey stud:lovies:
Sure was sad to hear about what happened to you and your MM. :bigcry:
Are you and the fam still thinking of possibly moving to NC?

Hi sailor!!!:wave::lovies2:
Similar story Chris, I bought my MM a little earlier. Found this site simply googling for a torque spec on I have no idea any more. I'd never joined a forum before so the whole concept was foreign to me and had no idea what to expect. Simply joined as seemed to be a great info source on the car. After being a member a while I was hooked and started doing (what I promised myself I would NOT do when I originally bought the car!) a few mods. Well after an adventure with pulling rear axle housing to do 4.10s with some other goodies I managed to get my Trilogy kit installed and completed the weekend before MVX (South Haven, MI). I had no idea what to expect but ended up feeling so welcomed and met sooo many great people including yourself that I decided to go for it and attend Loosville the following spring. I'm so glad I did! The instant great friendships I found amazes me to this day. I look forward all year to seeing everyone (while missing those we've lost) that it is heartbreaking when the event is over. As a site we've been through a lot but the friends made are forever... Thanks to all!

I have been on the site since I bought mine new in 2004 but had a hard time making it to any meets. I missed the first meet that was in Indiana because of Family problems and I was in Indiana at the time. Then we tried to make it to Louisville but ran into problems scheduling time off. We finally made it a meet and have tried to make every one since then. I miss going to two meets a year since Marauderville died. Maybe some year we will get to the all Ford nationals. It is always good to see everyone and we have met many great people even you Chris! Looking forward the next meet.
