View Full Version : Lincoln Navigator engine in mqm

Okay I have a 2003 Grand Marquis i have been putting together. I put an LX Crown Vic floor shifter in with the center console some p71 police seats not trying to clone it to look like a Marauder. just want a Grand Marquis with a floor shifter and some upgrades my question is this I had a guy Fab me some adapter plates that will allow the Mercury Marauder intake manifold to fit a navigator so the other question would be this will the Lincoln Navigator engine fit physically if not what would need to be changed? When it comes to wire harness that's not a problem I make that all work. I know it'll fit the transmission and motor mounts. Any info and criticism will be appreciate it thanks.

I am sure someone knows for sure but I think a 5.4 has a higher deck so would be wider and my not clear a/c box.

He did a 5.4 SOHC swap on his Vic. He should be able to verify if DOHC heads will clear.

On another note i hope you didnt spend much for someone to make those intake adapters for you. They've been available for years for a reasonable cost.

You will have to change to a smaller brake booster and notch the ac box.
i would have went with a coyote intake and adapter plates for that DOHC 5.4,.. but your way the alternator stays up top..
just googke 5.4 swap, quite a few have done it

Do you think the low-end torque will be noticeable? Compared to the marauder engine.

Yes I've gave the supercharged options some thought. I've had a few supercharged Marauders. I do have an extra set of C heads and a four valve timing covers in the shop I guess I could go that route. I will admit I definitely love the sound of the supercharger whine!

Unbelievable. Required to pay a vendor fee to do free repairs. That's asinine.
