On our engines, is there a way to cross reference the engine serial number to any part of the vehicle, or document, to see if its the original engine?

Haha, fair enough. Just wondering because I'm in the process of removing the engine from my '04 SB and I have come across several clues that lead me to believe this engine has been replaced. I'll know for sure once I get it out.
